ABSTRACT
Este artigo busca introduzir o campo da estética social, tanto na tradição fenomenológica quanto na pesquisa acadêmica em psicologia. Propõe um breve retorno à história do movimento fenomenológico e aponta a relevância de conceitos como sensibilidade e intersubjetividade. No contexto da fenomenologia contemporânea, particularmente seguindo o pensamento de Merleau-Ponty, o artigo enfoca o conceito de estética em relação ao meio ambiente (Arnold Berleant) e a questão da alteridade (João Frayze-Pereira). A revisão da ideia de estética como teoria da sensibilidade abre o campo da estética cotidiana e o processo de significado das relações interpessoais. Em suma, a contribuição do campo da estética social em psicologia destaca os aspectos participativos da dimensão sensível na vida social
This paper seeks to introduce the field of social aesthetics, concerning both the phenomenological tradition and psychology academic research. It proposes a brief return to the history of the phenomenological movement and it points out the relevance of concepts like sensitivity and intersubjectivity. In the context of contemporary phenomenology, particularly following Merleau-Ponty's thought, the paper focus on the aesthetics concept in relation to the environment (Arnold Berleant) and the issue of the otherness (João Frayze-Pereira). The revision of the idea of aesthetics as a theory of sensibility opens up the field of everyday aesthetics and the meaning process of interpersonal relationships. In sum, the contribution of the field of social aesthetics in psychology highlight the participatory aspects of the sensitive dimension in social life
